A few kilometres from St Même, Angeac-Charente boasts one of Europe's most important site for palaeontologists, which in 2010 uncovered the largest Sauropod femur found in Europe measuring 2.2 metres long, which came from a creature 30 to 40 metres in length

GUEST REVIEW

We received a warm welcome from Anne after a tiring journey.   The room was light and airy and beautifully furnished in French style, with top quality bed linen.   The toiletries in the ensuite, and extra milk for making early morning tea were much appreciated.  There was a lot of interesting conversation over our delicious continental breakfast which was served in the beautiful salon ...  I felt like we had arrived as strangers and parted as good friends.  We wish Anne all the best in the future.

GUEST REVIEW

Our first time visiting the area and needed a place to stay.

Anne was a wonderful host who booked restaurants for us and gave some much needed advice on the local area, and places to stay during our journey north.

The rooms were lovely and clean and breakfast was amazing with fresh figs from her tree.

I would highly recommend Chez Anne to anyone ..... nothing was too much trouble.
